CSMA Meeting Minutes General Membership Meeting Sunday April 14, 2002 The meeting was called to order at 10:07 am. Paul Gibson, N1TUP presiding. The meeting was held at the Southington Hamfest. The minutes from the previous meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was read and accepted. CSMA has a balance in the checking account of $286. Old Business: John M. Ahle, W1JMA, reported on the status of the IRS 501c3 filing. The IRS received the application and will deem it complete within 120 days. Dana Underhill will send out via email the latest version of the constitution and Articles of Incorporation. The Policy Committee has had a lengthy meeting to formulate coordination policies and procedures. At this point they are 35% complete. It is anticipated that a draft will be brought to the group in June. Mark Casey, K1MAP, has again requested that all updates for coordination and information regarding emitters be sent to him. He reminded the group that it takes about 5 hours to prepare coordination papers. Mark reported that the FCC and Riley Hollingsworth has used information provided by CSMA to deal with an uncoordinated repeater in Connecticut. Mark stated that the letter sent to the operator of the uncoordinated repeater had made reference to CSMA. There was a discussion about the new ARRL repeater directory and a footnote regarding the old TSARC region. CSMA is part of the now defunct TSARC region. John, W1AN, asked Mark to document the emitters in Connecticut that recognize CSMA. 51% are needed to meet NFCC standards. It was suggested and accepted that each officer and director will contact each emitter by county. The assignments are as follows: Ed KA6FDW Litchfield County John W1JMA Fairfield County John W1AN New London County Dana and Paul Hartford, Tolland and Windham Bruce Markus Middlesex County Each emitter should be asked to refile papers with K1MAP so our data base is accurate. No other business was discussed. The next meeting will be on June 2, 2002 at 10am at the Newington Hamfest. The meeting was closed at 11 am. Respectfully submitted, John M. Ahle W1JMA Acting Secretary
