CSMA General Membership Meeting Minutes for October 12, 2003 Paul Gibson, N1TUP at 10:15 am, called the meeting to order. The meeting was held at the Nutmeg Hamfest.The minutes of the previous meeting and Treasurers report were read and accepted. Paul again discussed the need for an accurate Data Base of all Emitters in the State of Connecticut. Paul mentioned that the ARRL wants to get the coordinator's database earlier in the year. It was suggested and approved that each director would get the emitters for his area and contact emitter owners to get updated information for the database. All changes should be forwarded to Mark Casey, FC, for permanent record. Mark Casey, FC, again reminds all emitter owners to keep all emails and documentation regarding their coordination. The Frequency Coordinator, Mark Casey announced that he would give up coordination duties for the 2-meter, 222, and 440 bands as of 1-1-04. He will continue in the CSMA Board of Directors position of Frequency Coordinator. Among the duties of Frequency Coordinator are: Creating & Setting Coordination Standards, Maintaining communications with Adjoining Coordination Bodies, Maintaining a Database for Coordination purposes, and Appointing and Overseeing Band Coordinators and Assistants as necessary. Mark will be looking for "Band Coordinator" Trainees for those bands immediately. Qualifications for Applicants include Impartiality, and a good working knowledge of Coordination Technical Standards and Issues. Among the most important duties in the "Band Coordinator" job description are: Responsibility for the assembly of accurate information for a proposed coordination of new, changed, and pre-existing repeaters. Responsibility for the assembly of accurate information in order to cross coordinate TSARC coordinated repeaters. Both of these duties involve interfacing with repeater owners in order to obtain correct information. Nominations for the 2 Directors at Large and the VP were made. Both Bruce Marcus and John Spigel were nominated for the Directorship positions. Rod Lane was nominated for VP. No other nominations were made and the process closed. The CSMA domain registration is due. The cost is $11.95 and will be reimbursed to John W1AN.
