CSMA Meeting Minutes February 24, 2008 The meeting was called to order at 10am by Paul Gibson, N1TUP. The minutes of the September 30, 2007 meeting were read and accepted. The treasury has a balance of $2704.04. The Connecticut corporate registration was filed and the IRS 990 Ez was filed for last calendar year. At the September meeting nominations were accepted and closed. Given that there were no positions with opposition, the President asked the Secretary to cast a single vote. This was done in December. Both director at large positions are now filled to the end of 2010. Paul reminded the group that the following positions were up for re-election at the end of 2008: Vice President, Secretary and the 203 Director. Paul presented the approved guideline changes made at the September meeting. John and Mike Spigel, W1AN and K1ATA, presented the new CSMA website. The frequency coordinator and secretary were trained on how to update this new website at an earlier meeting. The FC will update the database and give the go ahead for it to go live. Overall comments were extremely favorable and both Mike and John were congratulated for a job well done. Paul updated the membership on our continuing issues with Metrocor regarding coordination issues. It was suggested that Paul write a letter to the Metrocor President outlining our concerns and issues. One issue is already before the FCC for adjudication. Paul updated the group that the new military system that is in the 440 band plan impacting repeaters on the east and west coasts were consuming the FCC resources. East coast repeaters seem to be more cooperative with the military on this issue. Pete, K1PTI, came to update CSMA about his 2m repeater in Hebron on 145.47. The FC acknowledged this information.
